# Add / Reduce Margin
For isolated margin accounts, Drake currently supports using only the settlement currency as collateral. You can easily allocate additional margin to an open position, giving you the flexibility to manage your risk as needed. However, please be aware that a 1% fee applies when you initially allocate additional margin, as well as when you add or reduce margin afterward.
